San Luis Obispo Little Theatre is proud to continue exporing the limits of our Readers' Theatre program this season. Ubu's Other Shoe exists to give local actors, directors, playwrights, and audience members an opportunity to experience plays that do not fir into our regular season schedule.
There's no better way to spend a Friday or Saturday night!
Ubu's Other Shoe is named after the infamous trilogy of plays written by Alfred Jarry in the late 19th century. After riots erupted on opening and closing night of Ubu Roi, the play was outlawed from the stage. Ubu's Other Shoe pays homage to the spirit of Jarry and all artists that strive to explore the fringes of their art.
